Clicking this icon will bring up a palette of available magnification tools.

On the left is the magnification palette. Each tool type is discussed below. Before you use any magnification tool, turn off all auto scaling by toggling the Lock Auto Scale icon so that the Auto Scale Once icon is not illuminated. If you use a magnification tool while the data is continuously auto scaling, then you will only see the magnfied view until the next data point is plotted.

The magnify area tool is used to select a particular X-Y portion of the graph for detailed viewing.

The Magnify Abcissa tool is used to zoom in on a portion of the X axis.
|

The Magnify Ordinate tool is used to zoom in on a portion of the Y axis.
|

The Undo Magnify tool can be used to revert to a previous magnification level. Note that the tool cannot be used between more than one level of magnification.

The Zoom Out tool allows you to pick a point on the chart and zoom out in both the X and Y dimensions from that selected point.

|
The Zoom In tool allows you to pick a point on the chart and zoom in on both the X and Y dimensions from that selected point.
