Resistance Display Format Selector
The frequency display format selector allows you to choose how to plot the resistance data.
Raw resistance
In raw resistance mode, the data is displayed as the actual resistance reading from the QCM200. This is a number in Ohms, and will depend upon the viscosity of the medium the probe is operating within. The more viscous the medium, the higher the resistance the oscillator encounters.
Relative Resistance
This mode allows you to plot the data as a resistance shift from a reference point. That is, the current resistance value is plotted relative to a reference resistance which you set via the Zero Rel R button.
Note that when the software begins data acquisition, the first resistance read from the QCM200 is treated as the reference resistance until you set a new reference resistance. See the help entry on Zero Relative Resistance for more details.
